The figure shows a spherical shell with uniform volume charge density ρ = 1.91 nC/m^3, inner radius a = 12.8 cm, and outer radius b = 2.8a. What is the magnitude of the electric field at radial distances (a) r = 0; (b) r = a/2.00, (c) r = a, (d) r = 1.50a, (e) r = b, and (f) r = 3.00b?

    (a) None, (b) None. (c) None.

    (d) I'll get back to this.

    (e)  E = Q/epsilon-nought, where

    epsilon-nought = 8.854 x 10^(-12) Cm/N

    and Q = rho*V,

    with rho = 1.91 nC/m^3 and

    V = (4/3)pi(2.8^3 - 1)(0.128 m)^3.

    (f) same as e

    (d) repeat (e) but replace the (2.8^3 - 1) by (1.9^3 - 1).
