How long does a Trane furnace last?

Trane furnaces are going to last ten to fifteen years for the forced air versions, depending on usage and maintenance. The oil and gas furnaces, if you maintain it, are going to last twenty years or so.

The industry standard is to assume a new HVAC system is going to last about 15 years.  If it dies at 10, you got robbed.  If it goes for 20, count your lucky stars and be saving up for a replacement.  Brand does not factor into this assumption: Trane, Rheem, Carrier etc all get counted the same.

My old Rheem lasted 33 years before I replaced it.

yeah 10-30 years actually...but it depends...some manufactureres cheat. and will slap the trane sticker onto their unit even though it is far inferior, with the fan motors dying in under 5 years.  all the ac companies are like this though.  just replace your filters when they get dirty and hope its not in the crawl space under your house...they last longer in cooler dryer enviroments
