How to Correct a Sales Receipt in QuickBooks?

It depends on what you want to correct. If it's just an item, you should be able to open the sales receipt, change and save it. If it involves the payment, it's much harder. If the payment hasn't been deposited, just delete the sales receipt and enter a new one. If the payment has been deposited, you have to delete the deposit (which will put all the payments on that deposit back in "to be deposited"), change the sales receipt and re-do the deposit.
