You have to shoot a pano and stitch it together first, otherwise you're just distorting a normal wide angle photo which is something most photo editing apps can do anyway.  Clip on lenses are more fun.

Ahhh... So I see programming hasn't caught up with physics yet? Get a fish-eye lens adapter, one made for smartphones.

Why not just buy a lens adapter like the one in the link below and have a real fisheye? 

The apps don't do anything to the actual focal length or perspective of the lens, which is why you're not happy with the one you got for free, and why you won't be happy with any software solution.

Buy a clip on fisheye lens for your phone.  They are pretty inexpensive on Amazon.
