I'm on day 42 of my cycle with no period and no signs of it being on the way. I'm not on any birth control and have never had sex. Why?

Sometimes our periods get out of whack. If a girl exercises a lot or are underweight for examples, then this could impact a person's period. Some medications can impact this too.
Give it a little time and if you're concerned after another week or two talk to your doc.

It could be many things. It could be PCOS, a cyst, endometriosis, pregnancy, your food intake, any type of medication, a shift in your cycle by hanging out with another woman for long periods of time can sync up your cycles. What I would suggest now is taking notes of any symptoms you are feeling whether mental or physical. It is time to see a gynecologist by this point. It is important to note how long your period takes, how painful from 1 to 10 your pain is during your period and how long it takes for each new cycle to start. Good luck!
