Yes, most of us do. Sadly, not all churches are accurate. Some even teach us to remain in our sins.

As you've started, most Christian religions should in fact be united but they are not. One of the reasons for that is stated in-1Timothy 4:For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the wholesome teaching, but according to their own desires, they will surround themselves with teachers to have their ears tickled. 4 They will turn away from listening to the truth and give attention to false stories. 5 You, though, keep your senses in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
However, because there are so many different variations of Christianity, how can one know which ONE is actually approved by God?
John14:6-

Matthew 24:5 Many will come in my name... The Christ warned of that happening. You answered the question. You have to find "The Gospel". What is that?
