Advice about Blinds!?

I’m wondering if anyone can help me!

I’m looking at purchasing some blinds for my living room bay window but unfortunately it isn’t the strongest, it’s quite weak with not much support. I’ve looked at the perfect fit blinds that slot into my window but unfortunately I can’t find anywhere that does them large enough for the larger part of my bay. It seems like my only other options are roller blinds or metal blinds, but I was wondering which one was heavier/better? Don’t want my bay collapsing on me or not being able to hold them once I screw them in!

  • busterwasmycat has the right idea. Vertical blinds, preferably fabric, rather than metal, will  give you all the privacy you need, and they're very easy to clean.

If you prefer blinds the metal ones would be the strongest. You can can get them custom made but you will have to wait longer.Look for a place that does this.I had custom made sheers made for my bay window.I prefer to let the light come through and not have to open an close everyday.

Vertical blinds are probably the best solution.  You shouldn't be attaching to the window rails anyway, only the casement if at all.  Verticals can be mounted above the casing, in the wall itself.
