As a football team, how bad are the New York Jets?

From what my fantasy team did no very good wasted my season with that Running back 

A bad team currently but with a decent coaching staff and draft of players they could be a playoff team in 4 years at least .

Bad enough to possibly break out the "bags".

They are one of the worst franchises right now and have been for several years.

In my opinion, very bad.

In recent times? 

Were they a soccer team they wouldn't be in the first division, that's for sure.

The Jets are one of the worst professional sports teams.  It's not that they lose a lot that makes them bad.  Even good teams go through rebuilding periods, it's just that their rebuilding period never seems to end.  They don't draft well, and there doesn't seem to be any clear vision of the future that management is trying to achieve.  

One of the worst because they have one of the worst win loss records

Right now, or over the course of time?  Either way, they're among the very worst in all of sports.  

I'm a fan of the Washington [Name Redacted].  I have been suffering watching bad football for two decades.  Dan Snyder is one of the worst owners in sports.  Yet, there are two teams in the NFL that I can consistently point to and say "Well, at least we're not THAT bad" and it's the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets.  And if this year is anything to judge by, Cleveland may finally be getting it's act together.

The Jets have been a franchise oscillating between bad and awful since the 60s.  This franchise's only good times were back when the AFL was a thing!!!  

Not bad - if they get Russell Wilson!
