What the hell is going on with the Windows Updates these days?

The last two have totally rearranged stuff on my computer, reset a bunch of my setting to the "Microsoft defaults" (like making Edge my browser, which I never use), totally zapped all my Firefox bookmarks, and managed to lose a bunch of my documents.

After the last one, I wasted a lot of time recovering stuff from Carbonite.

I'm about ready to hop a flight to Portland and kick Bill Gates in the crotch.

Update:

Oh, possibly the most annoying thing is that when I scan something, I have no idea where it's being stored...only that it's NOT in the "My Scans" folder.

It is cheaper to simply turn off automatic updates. An even better solution, albeit harder, is to revert to win7.

I know, right ? On both my desktop and laptop, it's now harder to find all my files by type.

Now, all I get is 'Frequent Folders', and 'Recent Files', NEITHER of which is what I want.

I USED to have all my types visible down the left side of the folder tab. That was USEFUL, and now that's GONE.

    FU MicroSucks.
