RepubliCONS are so quick to blame Biden for gas prices rising but are they even aware that the only reason it was so low...?

...was because the pandemic slashed all demand as people started working from home and it's going up now because 1)states are opening up now and 2) because of the recent utility disaster in Texas, and that the increase has absolutely nothing to do with the Biden administration

Update:

@mustagme the pipeline wasn't even our own petroleum 🤡🤡

Update 2:

@anonymous, pfizer and moderna took no money from Dump

Do you really believe that republicans are going to go through the trouble to find the real reason that gasoline is so expensive? Hell no. They'd rather blame Biden.

Gasoline prices, at least in this region were under $2.00 per gallon long before the pandemic. Your claim that lack of demand because of the pandemic was the only reason for low gas prices is simply wrong. Under President Trump opened up exploration, drilling and refining of oil. As a result, The United States became the Number 1 producer of crude oil and gasoline in The World, as well as a top exporter.

Gasoline prices will continue to rise because of Biden's attack on U.S production of crude oil, and gasoline. Not only did Biden stop the Keystone XL Pipeline, he also placed a ban on exploration and drilling on Federal lands, as well as fracking.

President Beijing Joe Biden's energy policy, or lack of same is in fact a large part of the reason for the current increase in gasoline prices, as well as the continued increases. Make no mistake about it, gasoline prices will continue to rise, as long as Biden (or Harris) is President. The only question is, how high will they go?

On Jan 1 2020 the average price of gas in the Oklahoma was 2.19 and in the us 2.59.

We currently have a gas price in Oklahoma of 2.59 and the average in the US is 2.83.

This is just the beginning of the price increases and they will get worse the more the Democrats push to punish oil producers while pushing the Green New Deal.

A combination of falling demand, rising supply, and diminishing storage space caused a crude petroleum price plunge. In all, the PPI for crude petroleum fell 71.0 percent from January to April. There was an oil battle happening outside of covid concurrently. The price rising back to normal and higher started before people went back to their lives and in fact most people have yet to return so I'd argue the demand is still absent. I'd argue the price drop didn't directly reflect supply and demand either.

We are suppose to blame the president. Wasn't everything blamed on orange man and obummer before him. It's the bedrock of our politics for dummies. Tell me you haven't played along.

While some people drove less due to work from home, many people drove more.    Gas guzzling RV travel has been at an all time high.

Really? Oh, but Joe is responsible for 150,000 Covid deaths since taking office.  No, Joe can't take credit for the vaccines since they were developed & distributed under Trump. LOL!!

If you want to know why gas prices are so high, ask the Koch brother is not burning in hell currently.  He controls every refinery in the nation, and is eager to punish Biden by raising gas prices unilaterally and blaming the increase on Biden.

So cancelation of the XL Pipeline, halting drilling on Federal land, lack of new construction of refineries, endless regulation, forcing gas companies to make different blends, and causing Middle East instability has nothing to do with it?

Edit: less supply equals higher prices. Economics 101, maybe Economics 001. 🤡🤡
