I cannot find a key for these chords, can you?

I have a song i'm working on on the piano at the moment.  I found the chords by inspiration.  However, I cannot find a key that fits these chords.

Verse- A maj - F maj - G maj - A maj

Chorus - D maj - A maj - C maj - G maj

Does it matter that these dont fit in any given key?

Any help appreciated.  Thank you very much.

This 1 - lowered 4 - lowered 5 - 1 worked just fine for Lady Madonna verse ending cadences - and tons of of Sanctified Church gospel music.  You found those chords because they are ALL OVER - you just located then in you instrument when they were in yourv ear anyway.  If course they fit in a key - and now that I hinted at the recipe, you can find them in ANY KEY.

The second progression is in the same vocabulary - and gets back to A the danger b way.  To me, it feels like the recurring Chorus is what you call the Verse - and what you call the City's us mute like the B section or verse.  Works have to hear more - just going by what you told us.  But I really like your choices - a lot! - and I do not get to say that often here, to untrained amateurs.  You got an EAR!!///You need some Theory instruction.  I should know - besides making ever dollar in it life from 1973 to today, in professional music - I also am a retired Theory teacher. Theory is THE HOLY GRAIL of creativity - a whole gourmet grocery store and Culinary Institue, all in one. Up to you if you burn things, or earn Michelin stars for your wdshes.
