Keeping medical insurance from SSDI?

I am permanently paralyzed from the waist down. I used to receive SSDI and SSI. I no longer receive cash benefits, but I’m still receiving medical insurance. Am I correct in my research  that I will keep the medical insurance for 8 1/2 years?

rules are different for medicaid and medicare....i remember reading it on the SSA website....i thought medicaid was longer, and medicare was shorter....i don't have time to look it up tonight...if you don't find it, i will look when I can...

i know for continued medicaid, there is an income cut off....but I think its at least 30K/year
