Every male starts losing his hair at puberty. That is the trade-off.... you get to be a man, but you lose your hair! (Something about hormones) Which do you want?

It takes about 6-7 years to start showing the baldness. Many guys are visibly bald in spots by the time they are 21. ALL will have thinner hair than in their teens. That's just the way we are built.

Females normally do not go through this same process, but do to a smaller extent. Females usually get thicker hair during pregnancy, but lose it all right after the birth. Something to do with hormones! (Darn those things!)

Since it does not affect physical health (only emotional), there is no concern by the medical field. It's only hair! The good thing is that you get more hair on other parts of your body!
