Quick question about job salary differentials between a Clinical Mental Health provider and a Marriage/Family Mental Health Provider?

I'm about to get my BA in Psychology, and then I plan to go for my Master's in Clinical Mental Health. I was noting a deep salary disparity between Clinical Mental Health providers and those who provide Marriage/Family therapy. Clinical Mental Health workers in my state make on average 52k a yr, while Marriage/Family therapists make over 100k. Is this disparity in income due to the fact that a great many Marriage and Family Counselors work in private practice and thus can name their own price?

Yes, but to be in private practice you need to find patients which can be a challenge. Also beware stats, that could be a median wage for example not the most common.
