I'm about to get my BA in Psychology, and then I plan to go for my Master's in Clinical Mental Health. I was noting a deep salary disparity between Clinical Mental Health providers and those who provide Marriage/Family therapy. Clinical Mental Health workers in my state make on average 52k a yr, while Marriage/Family therapists make over 100k. Is this disparity in income due to the fact that a great many Marriage and Family Counselors work in private practice and thus can name their own price?

Considering that they have such aggressive disagreements with Psychiatry, does keeping them from hurting themselves or others by at least a 72 hour involuntary hold by the State trump religious belief?

I know that psycho/sociopaths don't understand cause and effect to a degree where they can put the cards that tell the story in visual order, so I was wondering if it served that dual purpose.
