Did 2020 expose that our broken welfare system needs to be repaired?

What the covid-19 lockdowns have shown is that the capitalist market-economy is very vulnerable and instable:  Millions of people are losing their job and income through no fault of their own

It only exposed that Democracy is fragile and to be careful and never ignore the racism that exists in the U.S.  

We Democrats believe that everyone deserves a job that pays a living wage.  And the economy is best stimulated when money is put into the hands of consumers who buy American goods and services.

Ever since Republicans TRIPLED OUR NATIONAL DEBT starting with Reagan and the "Trickle Down" phony theory of economics, wages have NOT KEPT UP WITH PRICES for any of us.  The rich have gotten richer and poverty and homelessness are worse.

Last I saw employment was at record highs under Trump before the pandemic.  Edit: it’s your party that created and keep losing their “war on poverty”. All they do is create millions more on the dole.  You’re embarrassing yourself 🤡
