At Christmas how do you tell a 8 year old Santa is not real so I don't have to get more and more gifts for him every year?
My husband drinks and he can't help it as his father drank so it is not his fault. However, we just don't have the money anymore.
Our 12 year olds know about Santa but the 8 year old does not and has significant learning disabilities where he is delayed so could believe in Santa another 5 years before finding out if I do not tell him.

Just let him catch you leaving the presents around his bedroom. I was never asleep when my dad came in and have never believed the lie.
