I'm suprised it was so high. I rarely vote in the normal elections and never voted in the European elections. Who actually has any contact with their MP?

It was never advertised and not many people knew what an MEP actually did.

Because we were against it. Until we could vote for nice Mr Farage's party, which we did.

Lack of interest, basically. Apathy caused by the fact that most British people didn't believe UK Euro MPs did much of anything, which they didn't. Even Farage confessed that his reason for being an EU MP was to cause trouble.

Not a lot of people knew what MEP's did and what they were for and then even some of the people who voted for them didn't and just turned out for their preferred party. The turnout in crime commissioner and metro mayor elections is poor because a lot of people don't know what they do. People know more about MP's and councillors because they have been around longer, a lot longer. Those here saying they are not interested are probably not telling the truth, they just didn't know what an MEP does.

When it comes to EU authoritarianism voting is irrelevant. I'm surprised that the UK is being allowed to leave this evil empire without bloodshed.

To come into contact with anything produced by the EU could contaminate your entire household.
It's been an actual fact since 1975.
