Girlfriend always glued to her phone and just seems inseparable.?

Question

Just wondering if this happens to women involuntarily. She doesn't really have many friends and is always on either FB or Instagram. Yet she is virtually inseparable. While I'm at work we text each other throughout the day and sometimes it takes her hours to text back with reasons like "sorry, didn't realize u had texted me," or "i thought i replied but guess didn't send out the message". Yet, for instance, she'll be on FB during those instances and log on and off. Sometimes i get home late and she is more focused on scrolling through her feed on Instagram than interaction. Like this morning, she woke up and didn't really say good morning or anything, but was quick to get to her phone on the charger and log on to either IG or FB. Is social media and phone attachment just that interesting? Is it viewed as something you can't live w/out?

A few years ago, I was on a date with a lady that couldn't leave her phone alone. She was texting and even talking on it during dinner. I said that she should have the phone pay the check, since she was not with me. She didn't respond, so I got up and left her alone in the restaurant. Never heard from her !!!!

Social media is good for nothing, yet these fools are addicted to it, like a drug.  People no longer know how to speak to each other unless its a text.  No more social skills. I will not deal with it in my home. I already took one cell phone and bashed it with a hammer, because she would not get off it.
