If somebody has become disabled it may well be punishment of their sins and transgressions. True or false?

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death (or disability and suffering, etc).

Because they've asked for it, and have justly got what they deserved.

As they are sinners they have been justly punished for their transgressions.

For the onset of disability is not merely by chance or 'coincidence', but it must be seen as divine punishment of their sins and transgressions.

A fact that they would never concede because they are not intelligent enough to understand the Holy Scripture.

Jesus said in John 10:34 we are all God's . We must fulfill that potential

FALSE!  God is a God of love.  Adam brought sin into the world according to Romans 5:12:  That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned—.

False. You did not quote Romans 6:23, but add your own words:" or disability and suffering...". We read there: "For the wages sin pays is death". Death and disability, sufferings are DIFFERENT THINGS. If it is the punishment, why was Job ill? (Job 2:7). Why did Timothy have "the sake of.. stomach and .. frequent cases of sickness"?(1Timothy 5:23, NWT). They were righteous people but they had suffering and pain...

Totally false, which Jesus talked about when asked about why a man was blind. Also, you have added to Romans 6:23 - the death in that line is about Heaven, and Hell.  If you sin, you will die (i.e., go to Hell) - NOT become disabled.

False. We don't live in a perfect world, and there are many natural causes of injuries, disabilities, and diseases that can affect us. Sin has nothing to do with it. Animals experience similar injuries, disabilities and diseases, and they are incapable of sin.

Most likely false.  Bad things do happen to good people.  It is up to us to love all of God's human children equally.

It may well be but  that is not always the case, however it is always an opportunity to give glory to God.  If I go out and get drunk and try to drive a motorcycle and wreck who's fault is it?  But then I may be thankful to have escaped with my life and become a living testimony of why not to do such things.

    John 9

1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

    1 Peter 2

19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

2 Timothy 2:12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

  • That is freaking false and you are a very sick creature!
