why do people care about the royal family?

Very many of us don't. I.M.O. they are pampered, and believe themselves to be of far more importance than they are.  The only advantage there would be if royalty did not exist is that we'd have either a president or dictator and I'm not keen on the idea of either of those either.

Because WWE has brought back The King of The Ring Tournament so we can commemorate Past Kings such as Harley Race, Macho Man Randy Savage, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Bret The Hitman Hart, Owen Hart, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Billy Gunn, Mabel, Sheamus, Baron Corbin all the other Wrestlers who have won The King of The Ring over the last 33 Years. This is The Wrestling Section of Yahoo Answers and we like Professional Wrestling Royalty.

Well, in my case the Queen is our head of state.

Honestly i think it's up bringing. The previous generations had certain values and ideas drilled into them, where as thankfully the modern generations are more free thinking. The older generations were brought up to worship the queen and her family. Hopefully the newer generations will treat them for what they are, employees of the state...

Because Jesus told us to care about everyone.
