my parents have sentenced me to 4 days imprisonment for punching my sister in the face is this fair ? do deserve such a harsh punishment ?

this coming friday is the easter holiday , my parents have said i will be spending it in TOTAL lockdown as a punishment for punching my sister in the face and making her cry, i then told my mum to piss off and i will NOT accept any groundings that they try to give me, now my parents have said when i get home from school on thursday i will be escorted to me EMPTY room NO tv NO pc NO phone etc, my bedroom door will then be securely LOCKED with a key until tuesday morning, i will eat in my room and will only be allowed out to shower and use the bathroom, i will be required to wear school clothes , blue shirt etc and will be set punishment essays to write EVERY day my parents say they mean business this time and the punishmen t MUST fit the crime and this time i will SUFFER for my crimes OPINIONS PLEASE ?

If it reduces your penchant for being a jerk, it sounds like the punishment is appropriate.

It it doesn't then the punishment was not harsh enough.

So the moral of the story is: do not punch people in the face.

If this was the real world and you were an adult, instead of 4 days imprisonment you could be spend up to year in a real prison.  You are actually getting off light for what you did.

I know there may be all kinds of reasons why you feel you are justified for having punched your sister.  (Been there with my siblings.)  But if you were pulled into a court of law, none of them would keep you out of prison.

Hopefully this will help you learn that you can not punch people in the face.
