What does 'wheat finish' mean on an old appliance?

Its a light brown, named to inflect the color of winter wheat after it has dried to a golden brown just before harvest.

It is a color like wheat kernels. so kind of a dry grass color.

An off white, may be a little more brown than a cream, which is a little more yellow than wheat.  If you mix the two together, it makes cream of wheat, which is cereal color.
