Could you please guess why this company didnt hire me? please read here, it's short. ?
So a few weeks ago I had two phone interviews with an engineering company , my first interview was with HR which was by phone . They approved me , my second interview was with manager, and it was also by phone and they approved me again. A week later, they invited me to their facility and they showed me around the facility. I dressed nice , I was being friendly, the manager showed me the workplace. He didnt ask me any technical questions, and I looked interested, I was telling the manager thats nice and so clean, etc. I also asked manager few questions like what's hiring step, what teams I will be working on , etc. I went home and two weeks later, I received an email, they told me that they hired another candidate. I was like what did I do. I have no idea what I did in that facility that I turned them off.

You may not have done anything negative. They probably just got someone who would take lower pay. It happens all the time--just because it was a favorable interview, that doesn't mean you were the ONLY candidate--and they found someone else. Don't take it personally. It doesn't sound like you did anything wrong at all. Companies are just people--and some people like your style and some don't--and that's nothing to fret about. They just found someone they liked better--and that doesn't mean YOU aren't likable or competent.

You might have done nothing wrong. It looks like you were one of their top choices, but they could have narrowed it down to you and two others. Two or all three of you might have worked out. Their final choice might have won simply because of more direct work experience, better references, it could have been any number of things and you might have lost the job as a very close second choice. Realize that you made it that far so you have a lot to offer. Don't give up.

There is no way to be sure what they based their choices on.
You might have done everything just fine but someone else just had a little more experience or did just one little extra something that caught their attention more than you did.

It might not have been something you did wrong, maybe they just felt th other person was a better fit for th job.

You weren't the only candidate that they brought in for a session.
They probably brought in at least 3 people, maybe 5.
There is no way to guess why you weren't selected.

The other candidate had more experience than you. Maybe only by a tiny bit.
In situations like this...a company usually gets over 300 applications or resumes. The have to get it down to a dozen people who are qualified. Then they interview and get it down to 6. Then they bring everyone in ...one by one and let them tour and see how they 'fit'. then they have to go back and look over the interview notes and resumes and then beat themselves up because that last group of 6 is INCREDIBLY well qualified and they can only hire one.
Unfortunately you were not the one.
BUT...they liked YOU enough to contact you, personally, and tell you that you did not get it. That is because they respect you and you ARE good at what you do.
Don't be too bummed out....there was just someone who was a shade better than you and they hired that person.
It is not you. There are just a LOT of very qualified people running around looking for work now.

Don't take it personally. They found someone else they thought would be a better fit.
