Why does my phone say this ? ?

I got a Samsung galaxy J7 Crown it's great it charges well I got one of those 10ft cords once in a while I get a message that says " phone charges slowly please charge with the charger that came with your phone ". I didn't bring my normal charger with me I don't use it much anymore. Why does it say this once in a while ? How can I fix this ?

Too much power loss with that longass cable, use the one recommended.

there is no way to fix that. there is resistance in electrical wires, so they can only carry the voltage & wattage so far before it starts to decrease. if you had a 100ft charger, it would probably not charge at all or charge very very very very very very slowly.

You either need to get a fast charger, which would maybe offset the losses, or it could just be that the charging port is starting to wear out. But most likely, it's just the long cord and the low voltage of standard charging speed. Low voltage doesnt travel as far as high voltage does.

It means it doesn't have a good connection (make sure it's plugged properly) or the cord or wall adapter isn't rated very high.  Troubleshoot those things to see how to fix it.
