I think those of us who are still here are all, all of us, basically mentally ill in one way or another, and we need to have this enabling website taken away from us for our own sake.  And I don't just mean us queers, but also the transphobes and homophobes.

It depends on their next move, but it is a shame I won't be able to give clear advice on LGBT+ issues to people who genuinely need it.

Honestly I'm pretty sad. YA can be a source of good anonymous advice for a range of topics, and it started before the social media craze. That alone sets it apart. I know this place attracts a lot of trolls, but some of them are hilarious and have cheered me up on crappy days. I used YA to ask for help when I was struggling with my sexuality a long time ago, so yeah, I'm gonna miss it. RIP Yahoo Answers.

Very good move.  Countering the disinformation presented from the ignorant trolls here was a bit of a chore.

Its kind of sad because I come here when I am bored and genuinely try to help people but at the same time I hate this website and am happy to finally be forced off of it. Its a shame really. I joined over a decade ago and it used to be so much better and they let it all go to sh*t. I wish they kept it as it was 10 years ago but with every "upgrade" things got progressively worse until half the people here were trolls and several categories are basically dead already.

On one hand I'm sad. I've helped a lot of people here over the years.

But on the other I'm happy because trolls will no longer have this place as a platform.

But trolls didn't kill this place by themselves.

They had a lot of help from the management of Yahoo.

I have been saying for at least 4 years that Yahoo was trying to kill this place.

Changing the format to make it less friendly.

    Never fixing the report system.

Not having human moderators and making it IMPOSSIBLE to reach a human.

Failing to fix the leader boards.

Allowing it to become overrun with trolls.

Let trolls drive people away so they could then have justification for a shut-down.

    Shame on you Yahoo management.

We will just have to rely upon grade-school teachers to spread their BS about gender dysphoria - they seem to have been doing a good job if all these screwed-up kidz are any example.   Maybe Ms. Clones will start a program to keep kids from thinking they are normal !!

Pity that Yahoo sees this as progressive.
