    They don't want people to participate and get involved. Just to be passive consumers of news and politics. To eat the fodder they are fed and not think for themselves. They have also shut down or sold off GeoCities, Flickr and Tumblr so there is only pre-digested pap for the masses.

    Because it's a waste of money. Companies need to make a profit, and Y!A is not benefiting Yahoo financially.
