Infectious diseases: will it hunt us forever?

I can't find a solution. There will always be one suffering from it. Vaccine is just temporary protection (for a year or so). By the time everyone is vaccinated. The ones who got shot earlier will be run out of time. Herd immunity can work but its genetic material changes after few jumps.

    It will be like the flu, we will get a yearly shot. That's what the Scientists believe here in the U.K.

    No, when Yahoo Answers closes down then infectious disease will be no more.

    It is hoped, after most of us are vaccinated, the virus will get tired and fart itself away. Yes there are variants as the virus copies itself to try to survive but, they are similar though and the vaccine works for long enough for them to get tired too.
