What is your opinion on the legalization of marijuana?

It should happen. Not a bit worse than alcohol.

The rich have moved out of nyc. Thanks to gov Cuomo taxing the life out of them. So the city needs a new source of revenue. The reason why pot is now legal in New York. This is because it's a sanctuary city, and the city gives away free Medicaid and SNAP to non us citizens. It's such a huge drain that they taxed the life out of the rich until they fled. Now pot is legal so it can be taxed. Weed is almost as bad as tobacco. You kill brain cells when you smoke pot, you do know that. NYC is now pot head heaven.sickening

1) Medical Marijuana:  The THC in marijuana can be extracted and refined and placed in a pill.  There is absolutely no reason to smoke marijuana for "medical" purposes.  Besides, I don't want to see Grandma, standing on a corner smoking a joint and telling me that it's for her glaucoma.

2) Recreational Marijuana:  Just like we have breathalyzers to check if someone is drinking and driving, we should have a similar instant feedback test to see if someone is under the influence of marijuana while driving.

I'm for medical marijuana for legitimate medical reasons like for cancer patients and not for made up psychological reasons. And I am against recreational marijuana. In my opinion legalized recreational marijuana is going to create a subculture of lazy slackers that don't want to work that would rather spend all day and night getting stoned. I'm just not ever going to be supportive of lazy, stoned people asking hard working people for money so that they can get something to eat.

It should have happened 20 years ago.

Decriminalize it for use (not sale) but don't legalize it. 

If it's legal it's taxable. I pay enough ******* taxes!
