How much has your life changed since December 31, 2019?

We've done from seeing our small grandchildren regularly to rarely. That aspect sucks. On the bright side we paid off our house. That wins. The two had nothing to do with the other.

Apart from being in lockdown at the moment, no it hasn't. 

Why should it just because we left the E U.

My job involves using the postal service a lot and since Brexit has increased costs and reduced efficiency, my business has suffered

Hardly at all, apart from having had time to get round to all those little projects I had been putting off.  I can do my job the same in an office or at home, but with the benefit of not being pestered or wasting hours travelling to and from work. I was in S Africa the time that you indicate, it will probably be a long time before I go long haul again.
