No, but the site would have been more profitable if those Trump-supporters had managed to not violate the guidelines all the time

That's a small part of it, but my influence may have been the tipping point. 

I took screenshots and/or sent live links to various Y!A advertisers of some of the most pornographic and violent questions and answers and mailed them to said advertisers, asking if they knew their products or services appeared along side such vile content. 

I got quite a few responses - not form letters - from these companies that they needed to look into the matter. Among those who responded, several dropped their ads - Harry's Shave Club and State Farm Insurance were among them.

Since Y!A dropped its team that dealt with trolls I took matters into my own hands. 

Conservatives in general are very nasty people.

Yes, of course it is, along with their threats of violence and endless vulgarities.  Trump supporters are the reason why none of us can ever have nice things.

Absolutely.  Y!A is shutting down because there are too many dangerous lies posted here, such as lies about vaccines.  It's too expensive to clean up all the ToS violations these days.  I've been here 12 years and I've never seen it this bad.

Cause they dont want you getting answers from normal people
