Verizon is not interested in what the punters think. They're only interested in making money. Y!A might come back with a paywall.

If yahoo isn't making money , what makes you think they are going to pump their money into a site JUST FOR THE SAKE OF HAVING A PLAYGROUND FOR STRANGERS ?

Sorry, but a petition isn't going to help. This isn't an 80's movie and we're not a group of ragtag teens trying to save the youth center from a bunch of greedy developers. Verizon likely made this decision quite a while back and they're just now springing it on the rest of us. I'm guessing it's because they're no longer making enough money off of YA to justify keeping it around.

Most of them will sign a petition including myself. But they will ignore it like they ignored their users.

I will sign it, but I don’t think it will change the decision made by Verizon corporate.
