why exactly do media companies want to totally censor anyone's opinions regarding the Covid19 pandemic and other issues?

You have a right to free speech.

No one has an obligation to provide a platform for you to exercise that right.

What do you understand by 'free speech' and where did you think the term originates?  Try spreading the rumour that your neighbour is a paedophile who tortures dogs, and see if you end up in court.

Control . Censorship is NEVER a good thing.  HISTORY, !! Amazing how many believe  today it can be.

We can understand why some feel the need at times. Can be hurtful. It can also be abused by some.  But Freedom-loving people are hard-pressed to understand why some governments and religions would withhold this freedom from their people. It is denial of a basic human right, and many people throughout the world suffer under suppression of this freedom.  SUFFER TERRIBLY _HISTORY<  Will attitudes toward freedom of speech, even in countries that enjoy this basic right, continue to swing back and forth like a pendulum?

If we don't learn from history that it is never a good thing than  yes it will.

They are under government pressure to toe the line or be seen as covid deniers. It's one extreme or the other, no middle ground where sensible discussion can take place. Some people's minds are closed. Either that or they know they'll lose the argument.

Yes it's like how holohoax videos all got taken off youtube.

Covid is another exaggerated hoax.

Free speech has it's limits.  You can't slander someone to the point it ruins their reputation.  You can't incite a riot or threaten to murder someone.  And you can't spread false rumors about the pandemic which will cause needless suffering and death.

I hate it when they show people wearing cloth masks in close proximation.  Unbiased studies show cloth masks are only 2% effective and social distancing is the thing that works.  Spikes in COVID deaths can be blamed on the irresponsible media.

They have no obligation to give lies a platform. Youhavethe right to your opinion, and they have the right to ignore it.

Disinformation, especially regarding the pandemic should be censored.
