    5x² - 6x + 8 = 0

    5x² - 6x = - 8

    x² - (6/5).x = - 8/5

    x² - (6/5).x + (3/5)² = - (8/5) + (3/5)²

    x² - (6/5).x + (3/5)² = - (40/25) + (9/25)

    [x - (3/5)]² = - 31/25 ← no possible because a square is always positive or zero

    To go further, with complex numbers

    [x - (3/5)]² = - 31/25

    [x - (3/5)]² = i².(31/25)

    x - (3/5) = ± i.(√31)/5

    x = (3/5) ± [i.(√31)/5]

    x = (3 ± i.√31)/5

    x₁ = (3 + i.√31)/5

    x₂ = (3 - i.√31)/5

    5x^2 − 6x + 8 = 0

    Complex solutions:

    x = 1/5 (3 - i sqrt(31))

    x = 1/5 (3 + i sqrt(31))

    discriminant b^2 - 4ac is negative, so two imaginary solutions
