Chauvin's attorneys are telling the Jury that the body cam from behind Chauvin shows the knee to be on the shoulder blade and NOT the neck, ?

And that the cause of death was medically ruled as a fentanyl overdose. The drug dealer is refusing to testify for the prosecution.

Will he get off?

I disagree with the defense that chauvin’s knee was on Floyd’s shoulder blade. Every single camera angle besides that one shows him on the neck. Floyd even yelled “your knee on my neck!” That particular camera angle makes it hard to see. You can see chauvin’s leg over the shoulder, but you can’t see if it’s ON the shoulder or if it’s BEHIND the shoulder. It looks like the knee is resting on the neck, but because the shoulder is in front, it blocks the part that rests on the neck. Either way, he still was on his neck for a long time, and he still held his weight on him on a position that he knew could restrict breathing. I don’t think any of his defenses or justifications change the fact that he knew Floyd was in distress, and instead of providing care, he actually prevented others from doing so until after the window to resuscitate him had passed.

The trial is not even half finished yet, so it is too soon to make a judgment.

Cause of death has not been authoritatively determined.  Asphyxiation probably, but why?  Fentanyl causes death by asphyxiation, as does positional asphyxia.

Pathologists know the amount of drugs in the blood to be fatal doses, Floyd didn't have those numbers

  • Chauvin's attorneys are telling the jury that Chauvin had to keep his knee on George Floyd's neck oi that George Floyd would not resurrect from the dead & beat him up.  Among other things.
