Is believing in a god more important than believing in the right god?

I’m an Atheist. Several people have told me I will burn in Hell unless I except god and Jesus as my savior.

What happens to the people who lived centuries before Jesus. Or the people who never heard of him ? Do they burn in Hell because the unknowingly picked the wrong god ? Or does it really matter who you believe in, just so long as you believe ?

    1.  No.  What is most important is cooperating with God to obtain his blessings and his best rewards.

    2.  Every single one of God's human children, past, present, and future, shall have a fair chance to learn the gospel of Christ (1 Peter 3:18-20; 4:6) and benefit from it (1 Cor. 15:29).  God's love, justice, and mercy are all intact.

    3.  It matters more what we choose to do, not what we choose to believe.  Jesus Christ clearly teaches that he shall reward us according to our works, not our beliefs.  Never listen to a Christian who tries to tell you otherwise.

  • I agree that excepting Jesus from your life is a wise decision.
