Why do Republicans expect corporations (oligarchs) to solve their problems.
Corporations are not beholding to voters, only to their bottom line, they can not be removed from power.
Has more trust in a government where 'we the people' have the ultimate final say, i.e. elections.

It's cute that Republicans have spent decades kneecapping government to the extent that the only "accomplishments" under Republican administrations are tax cuts for the rich, discriminatory laws against lgbt people and racial minorities, and increases to military spending, and then turn around and blame government inefficiency for why we can't have a civilized healthcare system like every other country on earth

It is ineffectual because it's being undermined to achieve that goal and the proof of that is whom it serves in the end when it is suppose to serve others and doesn't.
