What does "restricted to" mean?

"All CDL applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Interstate commerce, along with Hazardous Material and School Bus endorsements, are restricted to ages 21 and older only."

    Restricted to = limited to.

It means only people age 21 or older can get the following:

    Interstate commerce endorsement

    Hazardous Material endorsement

    School Bus endorsement

If you're between 18 and 21 you can still get your CDL, but you can't get any of those three endorsements until you're 21.

Restricted means, that those DL endorsements are only for those over the age of 21.

You must be over 21 to get a Hazardous Material DL or drive a school bus.

"restricted to ages 21 and older"  means that people age 20 or less cannot have the three listed endorsements (interstate commerce, haz mat and school bus).

    ???

  • If you don't know, you probably shouldn't have a CDL.
