I feel the same way and also that there's too many straight people on tv. Usually the gay character is either a side character pining over the main straight character, or just some bumbling doofus used for comic relief.
Terrible. People just don't know how to cope with the fact that gay people are just as capable as straight people when it comes to being the lead as well as having a genuine romantic interest.
Oh yeah; and please write a show where the gay love interest doesn't die. We've seen this horrible trope at least 20 times by now.
