Am I pregnant or not, and/or is there something wrong ?

Hello! So my typical period cycle (starting the first day of last period to next period) is 26-31 days. Right now I am on day 36 and was supposed to start April 1st and today is April 8th, so I am a whole week late. I have been cramping very slightly the past three days but I took a digital pregnancy and it’s a negative. I’m thinking im just extremely late and somethings wrong. I’m sexually active, and not being safe (pull out method which I know is not a good one) Any advice?

I don't know how many people you're having sex with whether it's one or several people. But there might be a possibility that you have touched a man that is taking either finasteride. Which is both a prostate pill and something to make your hair grow.

Or you have touched a man that has used a product like rogaine to make his hair thicker.

Or you yourself have used a product like rogaine to make your own hair longer.

These medications can very quickly be absorbed through your skin. And if you happen to be a woman they will totally throw off your period.

You should take a non digital pregnancy test. Because if you are pregnant your hcg levels may be too low to detect in a digital pregnancy test. I always get mines from the dollar tree and they work fine. Usually by 10 days late you can get a more accurate reading unless you saw implantation bleeding. I also had cramps, a little worse that a period, around the time it was supposed to come. It turns out I was pregnant. If your stressing that can also delay your period.
