do you believe our dead loved ones can help us in misterious ways?

My beloved grandpa died in 2017. In 2018 I was kayaking on a very windy day and suddendly the was rough but I decided to go out anyway with the kayak. It went fine for about 30 minutes then the sea became rough and I couldn't control the kayak anymore. I was almost at the pier when I was almost sure that I would have fallen. Suddendly I thought ' Grandpa, please help me I need your help'... and you might not believe me but the sea got almost instantly calm, exactly for the right time amount needed for me to reach the pier. Right afterwards it became rough again. I've heard from many people that they think their loved ones now dead can help them in ways we cannot understand. What do you think?  I miss you grandpa 1932-2017 Love and miss you everyday

No, sorry I don't. The dead are gone, completely. That's what "dead" means, unfortunately. I'm sure you miss your grandfather, but don't delude yourself into thinking he's reaching out from the grave and calming the weather on your behalf.

P.S. It's "mysterious", not "misterious", and "suddenly", not "suddendly".
