Yahoo Answers is not Selling the Site you can make your own Site but you cant call it YA you would likely get Sued if you did so by Yahoo

Lol. Cheaper to make your own, I would think! I don't even know if Yahoo is for sale. Your first task is to try to get in touch with them! That might be hard in and of itself.

If they intend to shut it down its actual value must only be the hardware used to keep it running. But often there is a value in closing some service that competes with something else you want to promote. Who can know what Yahoo is trying to achieve? Perhaps they don't know either.
