Why is the death toll of Covid-19 in China so low?

They had a strong lockdown early, police state enforced

They put a very authoritarian response to covid. Something the US could never do. People weren't going outside at all. Not this fluid "essential workers" at places that weren't really essential. They didn't have as many total cases compared to other countries. Their control wasn't perfect and I don't think an authoritarian government is the right idea all the time, but maybe they did a better job this time.

Because we over-count our Covid deaths and China under-counts theirs. Here in the US, anyone who dies "with" Covid dies "from" Covid. If someone was already at the end of their life with months to live, and in terrible health, and they catch Covid and it finishes them off, it's a death "from" Covid. Even car accidents get counted as Covid deaths if the test comes back positive.  

Everyone wore masks. They checked temperature of everyone entering any building open to the public. COVID tested everyone with high temp, quarantined everyone who tested positive, tested those people's close contacts. Taiwan did same: out of a population of 23 million Taiwan had 1000 COVID infections and NINE deaths. 

The Chinese Communist Government is very trustworthy. If they say the numbers are low, I believe them, and you should too

They listened to science.  Same reason New Zealand has full stadiums right now.

The numbers don't come from the CCP you paranoid pillocks..

It isn't a bioweapon, it is a novel virus that we saw coming somewhere on this planet for over three decades.

So you actually believe their numbers?

Because most folks never did.
