Why do democrats favor regressive taxes E.G. the latest being SALT deductions that favor the rich?

    Democrats favor the SALT deductions because blue states overtax their citizens. If the SALT deductions went away blue states would have to lower their taxes, which is the last thing the democratic party wants.

    Because blue states benefit from SALT loopholes. Red states do not. "Build blue states back better" is Biden's campaign motto.
