Because of lack of funds and lack of interest from the general public. Basically the same reason that all experts.com got shut down.

The one word I'd use is MONEY. Clearly there are not enough advertisements to keep this funded which means they can't afford (if they are paid?) enough Mods. to keep a lid on what's been happening to this place in recent months.

Answers proved the adage that the few morons spoil it for the many. As a concept it was initially good, in practice it was unworkable without being properly moderated and the absence of any adverts means it no longer has a revenue stream.
