Use the hebrew version of their English name...ie...one is Abigail which is Hebrew in origin and would be Avigayl. Or do I need to choose a different name?

I have 4 yr old twins. My partner and her daughter are Jewish. We observe the Jewish traditions in our home. I have not converted to Judaism yet, but am feeling that I will convert in the near future. I have researched interfaith families and found that the Children have issues later in life due to not having a firm faith base, so I want us to be a one faith home...Judaism. If I am not Jewish, can my children still be converted? Would my partner count as a Jewish parent for their conversion?

Ok...I was raised Christian and currently attend an Episcopal church. I have a very close relationship with God but have had difficulty with how Jesus fits into all of this. I believe in the message that Jesus brings, but I am not sure I believe in the divinity of Jesus. SO my question is, can I still consider myself a Christian if I don't believe in the divinity of Jesus but follow and live by his message?

She makes too much for legal aid, yet her ex is a lawyer and is representing himself in a different state. She meanwhile has to have a lawyer in our state and now in this other state because of a motion he filed, eventhough the motion is not valid. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks :)

Ok...I am Christian but my partner and her daughter are Jewish. Today is Rosh Hashanah and my partner had to take vacation time off to take the day of and attend Temple and my step daughter had to take a day off from school. Yet...my daughters and I automatically get Christmas as a holiday. Something about that doesn't seem right or ethical. Yes, this country was founded on Christian beliefs, but it was also founded that it was a safe haven for all beliefs, yet companies and our school system don't provide the same opportunities to practice or celebrate if you are a different religion other than Christian. What are your thoughts?

Hi all, my gf and I are beginning to plan our wedding. She and I both are a little hesitant about me wearing a tux for various reasons. My gf suggested that I look at what Melissa Etheridge wore for her wedding to Tammy, but I have been unable to find any pictures of her outfit. Ok all you creative people, it is Friday and I get to ask another question. My gf is taking me out of town for my birthday, and she is giving me hints as to where we are going. Here is what I know. It is in the state of Oregon within 7hrs of Portland. There are trees (requested to go to the mountains), we cannot take a day trip to the coast from where we will be, it is privately owned, there is a kitchen and a hot tub, we can see the stars and it is 42 miles from "a city". I get to ask one question and I am anything but creative. Help....what would you ask?

I have been involved with this lady off and on for over a year. We are great friends, incredilbe lovers, and trying to be ourselves and love each other for who we really are. She has a lot on her plate, but is very distant right now. She hasn't rejected me, but it feels like we are drifting....I'm trying not to get anxious and beat her to rejection....how should I deal with this? I've been in abusive relationships, so I don't know if this is normal or not.

My twin girls seem ready to potty train. I have provided them both w/ their own potty chair, but they always want the other's one. I tried taking them to the potty every hour, but they would get off because one had an accident or wanted to go earlier. Any suggestions? Thanks

People who choose to stay in abusive relationships (emotional, verbal, or physical) even when they know the relationship is abusive, I don't understand. What is appealing about feeling like you are always wrong, living in fear. What keeps people going back to that kind of relationship?
