  • I m about to start a juice cleanse for the first time. Can I prepare the juices ahead of time and freeze them?

I considered purchasing premade juices to save time and realized that they are shipped frozen. I also read some comments that you need to drink the juices within 2 hours of prep or the nutrients start to oxidize. How do you overcome this as I work 12 hour shifts and can t tote around my juicer and a cooler full of veggies and fruit. Thanks for your input.

  • How do you define a tenant-landlord relationship in NYS?

I have a verbal agreement with an acquaintance where he was allowed to stay in my basement for a barter of construction services which he has not done. I asked him to leave, allowing 8 weeks for locating new housing. He states he is not leaving until he wants to and has stopping his minimal payments for his share of the utilities.

My basement is just that with no kitchen. Where do I stand legally?

Any input is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  • Every time I tie up my tomato plants, they wilt. Why is this happening?

I 'm using stakes and plastic ribbon that sell in the garden center. Literally, healthy plants that are growing, flowering and starting to set fruit are wilting within 24 hours after I very gently secure the heavy branches. It's sad and frustrating. I practice crop rotation, can't identify a black walnut tree in site, and don't see evidence of borers. I did use my own compost, and amended the soil with hummus this year. Any help is appreciated...thanks

  • How much would a remodel of 2 bedroom beach cottage in Long Island, NY cost?

800 square feet, needs new simple kitchen and bath. We would need to add heat and a/c throughout, preferable electric based, and it is currently in poor shape. Now, obviously I am just seeking out per square foot estimate ranges as I am giving a brief description and no pictures. I just need a rough starting point to see if this is all even worth looking into. Again, I will stress that the current property in is poor shape, almost worth to tear down and start anew. Thanks for any info.

  • What are warning signs that your electronic programmable thermostat is going?

I have two zones in my house, each with their own thermostat. The 1st floor zone isn't calling for heat, but the boiler intiates and is continuing to run...heating the house way too much and not following the set program. The upstairs zone is working fine, as usual. I have changed the back up batteries, and tried turning the boiler off and then on a few hours later. Any input would be helpful. Thank you

  • What type of cookware is safest?

I need to purchase a new set of pots and pans and want to make a safe decision. Which is the healthiest choice: Hard anodized aluminum, copper bottomed stainless steel, or cast iron? I already use cast iron for frying, some baking, and sauteing, but is it good for sauces and soups, too? Thanks

  • What is this bug in my kitchen?

For the past week, I have had a problem with these little black beetle-ish bugs in my kitchen. They are about 3 long, have wings but don't really fly (at least I haven't seen them flying), black, in the Northeast, are are congregating on my window screen, near the sink, and on the floor near my oven. I don't get it. I have a clean kitchen and everytime I clean them up they return. At first sight they look like black sesame seeds or coffee grinds. Thanks for any help you can give.

  • Has anyone had a cat, or currently has a cat, with lymphosarcoma?

My 17 year old cat had a recent diagnosis stemming from a growth in her middle ear. I was just wondering how long your cat lived after diagnosis, what the quality of life was, and generally your experience. So far all has been minimal, except for the slight loss of balance and a development of asthma like symptoms. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

  • Have you ever walked in on your husband....?

Have you ever walked in on your husband masturbating? What was your reaction? And his reaction? Long story short...I came home from work and caught him watching porn and masturbating. I don't have a problem with this and suggested we get it on. He didn't want to stating he was too embarrassed. OK, I get it, but as I thought of it more and more I was getting mad, or maybe hurt, because he's horny enough to masturbate but not to have sex. Believe me, I think masturbation is healthy and normal and should be done. Please answer, but be serious. No stupid comments, please.

  • Question about mold on a wood desk?

We are inheriting this really old wooden desk. It's quite large, like one you would see in an executive office. It was in the basement and has a small patch of mold on it. Does anyone know how to remove the mold without having to refinish the entire piece? I can only assume that refinishing it would be costly. I am not sure of the type of wood, dark finish and otherwise flawless.
