I have purchased a junked but matching 1939 Luftwaffe Mauser Automatic C96 Bolo (my dream pistol) that was 'scrapped' with lots of love and care I have restored her to ready to fire (although not done so yet). I had to replace some damaged or missing parts (springs, extractor, and firing pin) but the rest are all original and matching serial numbers.

Here is the kicker. Her bore is near bald (about 5% of her rifling still visible) and her browning on the barrel is gone with the rest dulled to a muddy brown from the original near black.

I really want to bring her back to full life (re-browned, bored, and shooting) but I don't want to devalue her more.

Should I go ahead and get her finished up or will that ruin her worth?

I am a natural born red head and have always been treated sub-human by my peers. Women would tell me that I'm attractive, if a bit young looking (even now people think I am in my late teens or early twenties even though I'm going on thirty), but then they turn around and state that they wouldn't date, or they're not interested in red heads, and the only people that have shown interest in me have been women who are overly desperate (who wants to be chosen because your the last thing available), or looking for someone to tie them over until something better comes along, (no joke, told to me outright).

It has been one blow after another to my confidence.

Four years ago I moved to Brazil and found the Brazilian people very friendly and a quite a few, although many being a bit too young (13-17 years old), found me very attractive and have asked me to be their boyfriend. I turned them down for legal reasons and for the circumstances of my stay in Brazil, but it did help my self confidence.

I have since moved back to the US with this new confidence and have found the same bull that I faced before I left.

I have since given up on relationships entirely and have found solace in solitude, but now that I am beaten and accepted a life of celibacy, I have to know; why do American woman think that red haired men are unattractive. Why do men think red heads are below them.

I just want to know why and how I can help others like me.

Everyone and their dog (my family included) are pushing me into a relationship with one of my friends. She has a frequent tendency to get under my skin (she is one of those small doses kind of friends) and I don't see myself being happy with her. But everyone and her are trying to convince me that I like her and am to afraid to say despite my efforts (subtle hints don't work, obvious hints don't work, out right saying so doesn't work).

I feel pushed to a proverbial cliff and I am considering jumping off to get out of it.

What else can I do that won't end in the world hating me?

I'm looking to go to school to get my IT certifications but the cost is a bit steep for me. I can get a grant for $5000 but that still leaves a large sum o be paid.

I don't want a loan because I want to stay out of debt. What are some options to bring the price closer to my range?

I am trying to get better premiums on Health insurance but they grade healthy weight by the BMI index, a system I believe is flawed.

Seriously I am .5 inches (1.27cm) away from a threshold on the BMI index. Then why is it if I use my actual height I'm 3 pounds (1.36kg) over weight but if I round up to the next inch (2.54cm) I'm 'healthy'.

Can there possibly enough bio-matter in .5 inches (1.27cm) to warrant a 3 pound (1.36kg) difference?

Okay so I'm making some custom DVDs for people so I need a professional DVD burning program. One that isn't narcissistic, in other words isn't littered with advertisements of itself on menus screens and backgrounds (super DVD is bad at this). Preferably one that allows me to set up chapters,customize menus, etc.

I'm a huge computer geek, however due to certain unusual circumstances I've been out of it for a couple years. So if someone can fill me in on the current CPU Sockets intel supports and which are better preforming, etc. I'd really appreciate it.

Also if possible all the current AMD processors and their performance ratings.

I'm looking to start archiving my PS1 games (Because some of them are getting to be very scarce). What is a good Program to create ISOs in the .Cue format that can read PS1 formatted discs? The ones I've downloaded can't seem to read that specific format.

P.S. This is for my own PERSONAL use. I am not going to be sharing with others. They can buy the games!

What's a good Freeware Firewall program that won't conflict with my AVG Anti-virus program.

I'm running Windows XP Pro. Whenever I hit Alt+Ctrl+Delete it says Wimdows Task Manager is disabled by administrator. My account IS the Administrator account, so how do I re-enable Windows Task Manager?

Medieval 2 Total War, has a bug that will not allow me to install the game. Sometimes this bug is due to the Directx 9 EXE reading the same or newer version of the program.

I want to try to run an older version of Directx and see if that's the problem I'm having.

If not, the problem is when I try to install the game it say it is not a valid Win32 application.

I'm looking for a crossguard for a Swiss lowlander great sword I've acquired. Nothing too fancy needed just something durable (the previous one obviously wasn't). E-bay searches turned up nothing of interest.

I got a Nodachi (a Japanese great sword) that I want to replace the Tsuba (hand guard) to. Unfortunately the blade is epoxied into the hilt. What's the best way to remove the epoxy with out damaging the blade? or should i give up and stick with the ugly and inaccurate Tsuba?
