I am going to a Super Hero party & have decided to go as Shopper Woman (an idea I actually got from Yahoo Answers) - but I need some costume ideas. Any help would be appreciated.
2 AnswersHalloween8 years agoWhen making Chocolate Mocha Cheesecake is the chocolate "chips" or baking chocolate?
The recipe simply says 8 oz chocolate, semi-sweet. It seems like I should use the chocolate chips but not sure. I've seen other recipes that call for the squares. Are the squares all "baking" chocolate? What is the difference between baking squares and chocolate chips?
4 AnswersCooking & Recipes8 years agoHow can I make a centerpiece non tippable?
I am making a dice centerpiece out of a square white cardboard box. What can I fill it with that will prevent it from being knocked over. It has to be a solid fill - not rocks or sand or anything that will spill on the table if it is knocked over.
2 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)8 years agoHow can you Dye an Electric Blanket?
I have a cream colored electric blanket that just does not look clean even after washing. Does anyone know how to dye an electric blanket? Or even if it can be done? I was thinking maybe just spraying the dye on it might work. Any suggestions?
2 AnswersCleaning & Laundry9 years agoHow to glue fabric to rubber coasters?
I have some round rubber coasters made of a durable heat-resistant polyester fabric top, backed with a neoprene rubber non-slip backing that I bought online. I would like to embroyder a design on cloth and glue it onto the coaster but am not sure what kind of glue to use. I'm thinking that Mod Podge over the top will make it water proof, but do I need another glue for this type of material also? Any help would be appreciated.
2 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)9 years agoWhat do you fill cornhole bags with if you want to be able to wash them?
I understand that you fill regular cornhole bags with feed corn, but can't decide if these are washable in the washing machine. My friend has some bags that she puts in the washing machine to clean, but don't know what is in them. Any suggestions? I also heard resin but don't really know what that is.

5 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoI have a metal fish-shaped mold and would like to find a salmon or crab recipe to use in this mold.?
This needs to be a chilled recipe I would guess, as I would like to make the dip, set it in the mold and unmold it & maybe put crackers or chips in it to look like fish scales. Any suggestions?
7 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoHow can a felon from Washington State go about reinstating their firearm rights themselves - w/o lawyers?
This person is no longer on probation and it was a drug related charge. He would like to be able to use a gun for hunting but doesn't know where to get the information to do this or where to find the forms.
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoHow do you deadhead petunia's?
I have a beautiful plant & am just pulling the flowers out as they die. Should I be pinching the whole head off? I'm a little confused about deadheading & pinching. I have a lot of brown leaves also. Some of the short stems are dieing which makes me think I should be taking the whole head off instead of just plucking the flower out.
7 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoRock/Stone/Pebble Display???
I have many, many small rocks. Most of them are not sentimental (I have a few from my Grandma, but not many). I just have them & love to look at them. Any suggestions on how to display them? By the way, my great-neice (3 years old) loves rocks & is here every day & will haul them off if I just put them out in a basket or in my flowerbed - I need other ideas from some clever people. I suppose I shouldn't worry too much about her hauling them off if they are not that important to me & she loves to play with them - maybe just an idea so they wouldn't disappear in a couple of days?
2 AnswersOther - Home & Garden1 decade agoConverting a car plug in unit (12v?) to a house plug in (110 ?)??
If I buy a thermoelectric cooler that runs off the lighter plug in in my car, can I buy a converter to be able to use the cooler at home also?
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoCounter top ice maker or small fridge?
I need some way to keep my pop/water/etc cold - I don't want to put all of this in my regular fridge - takes up too much room. Which would you think would be a better investment - a counter top ice maker (could just keep drinks in a cooler outside) or a small fridge to put in another room. Any anyone ever had/used a counter top ice maker? How about a small fridge - could use it for other things beside drinks (like during the holiday's when there is always extra's to keep cold). What does everyone think??? Prices are comparable for both items, so that really isn't an issue.
3 AnswersNon-Alcoholic Drinks1 decade agoHomemade dog urine deterrant?
I have 2 male pugs (both fixed) that have a party in our house when we are gone "claiming" items in the house. Does anyone know of a homemade spray to keep them from marking all over the house. I'm sure that this is going to be a life-time project with these 2 boys and I think that I will need to spray daily to keep them away from things but would really not like to have to buy the stuff for the rest of our lives. There must be something out there I can make to use.
3 AnswersDogs1 decade agoHow can I remove old paint from ceramic mugs?
I have some ceramic mugs that look like Santa faces - I tried to paint some of them but the paint just peels off. Now I would like to remove the peeling paint and repaint the faces with a paint that will not peel off. Suggestions on how to remove the old and a good paint to reapply?
1 AnswerDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoIs there a DVD out there that can be added to or changed while working on the DVD?
I used to be able to use a floppy disc and work right from that disc. I could add documents, edit them, save the changes, whatever. What about DVDs - is there one out there that that will let you do that?
3 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoIs there a good reason why dog dishes are round instead of square?
My dogs have had a square dish for years but all of a sudden I see our big dog licking up the side of the container and was wondering why he didn't just lap from the middle. Does he need a round water bowl?
