ThinkaboutThis
I seek to better my understanding of truth through wisdom. Acquiring knowledge is no guarantee of practical, useful application. The ability to think sensibly is a virtue. To try to cheat our way through the process, or fake our evidence and evade the effort of the task is to encounter a mistaken assumption of our cognitive abilities. When this mistake is encountered, we are left to our own devices, without recourse, and nothing to protect us but our severity. But, if truths are the confirming feature of excellence, then I make it a goal to devote a responsibility to seeking truth. It’s one thing to have an opinion about something; it’s something else entirely to be able to argue a point eloquently, cogently, and with great effect. Wisdom involves good judgment, discernment, understanding and assessing for implications, then selecting what is true or appropriate.
Does a business with the ability to accept payment via debit card also have the ability to make a refund to the card? ?
The merchant I'm dealing with does not deny that a refund is due. They says they don't have the ability to refund my card. My thought is: if you can charge the card you can make a refund to the card. Is this correct?

I am doing research for a book that deals with those things that are kept secret, hidden, and away from public awareness. What type of things would you be interested in reading about in such a book? What people, places, or things do you feel should be made public?

4 AnswersPolls & Surveys9 years agoCan I have your attention?
I've seen an answer to a P&S question that suggest that the person posting that question had made the submission only to get attention. The answer went on to say that if the asker was seeking attention they should just ask for it. So, I realize that I sometimes post questions only to get attention and I'm taking the advice given in the fore-mentioned post. With that I ask: Can I have your attention?
10 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoMultiple questions Are you under the impression that a gun that exhibits a bright color is assumed to be a toy?
Real hand guns can now be purchased in colors? Not that I am particularly against guns. However, I am thinking what could happen if a kid would get a hold of one of these guns thinking it is OK because it displays a color. Should we assume that because that the gun a child is holding is colored that it is not real? Do you see how this would cause confusion? Should we stick the set standards we have developed for safty reasons?
